New Staff Have Joined ASCIP
January 29, 2016As we start 2016, we are very pleased to introduce three new individuals who have joined the ASCIP staff in December and January. All three come to ASCIP with impressive professional qualifications and accomplishments. But most importantly, we are confident they will be great contributors to ASCIP’s tradition of making member service our defining organizational value.
Meet our new ASCIP staff:
Toni Consolo – Senior Risk Services Consultant
Toni is one of ASCIP’s Senior Risk Services Consultants providing services to members in the areas of risk management, insurance, and loss control. She has a general school risk management background and will assist members in matters involving claims management, contract review, public agency risk management, insurance, and loss control matters. Toni joined ASCIP on January 4, 2016 and has nearly 17 years of industry experience in a variety of positions including risk management, substitute teaching, consulting/brokerage, and claims management.
Prior to joining ASCIP, Toni was a risk manager for a community college district and preceding that a K-12 district. In these roles she oversaw the districts’ comprehensive risk management programs including workers’ compensation, property and liability programs, employee and student safety and health benefits. Toni holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. She also completed the School Business Management Certificate program from the University of Southern California.
Joseph Diebert – Senior Risk Services Consultant
Joseph Diebert joined ASCIP as one of the new Senior Risk Services Consultants providing services to members in the areas of risk management, insurance, and loss control. Joseph is based in the Fresno area and is primarily providing support to members located in the Central Valley and the Northern California regions.
Prior to joining ASCIP, Joseph was the Occupational Health and Safety Officer for Fresno City College where he was responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the College’s environmental health and safety program. Preceding this role, he worked as Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in the Environmental Department for both Fresno County and Madera County performing hazardous materials regulatory compliance and emergency response. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health Science from Cal State University Fresno and is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree from Cal State University Fresno.
Kim Cantrell – Executive Assistant
Kim Cantrell has joined the ASCIP team in the role of Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, but she also supports the entire management team and assists in coordinating member events. Kim comes to ASCIP with over 25 years of experience in being an Executive Assistant. For the last 10 years she served as the executive assistant to General William Lyon, the founder and CEO of William Lyon Homes, one of the largest home builders in Southern California. Prior to that she worked for Ford Motor Co where she served as the executive assistant to the CEO of Volvo USA and the Chief Designer of Aston Martin and Lincoln/Mercury.
